The art of guilloche in Paris

Guilloche is an ancient technique that consists in engraving patterns on materials. It takes its name from a craftsman called Guillot who "invented" it.

Highly prized by prestigious brands, guilloche is often used to decorate watches, pens, lighters, perfume stoppers, switches, cufflinks, cutlery, taps, etc.

Today, MURELLI is the only guilloche company in France and often has to design and manufacture its own tools, combining work on old, carefully preserved and maintained machines with work on numerically controlled machines.

GUILLOCHE IS A HANDICRAFT: SOME OF OUR MACHINES ARE MANUAL WHILE OTHERS ARE SEMI-AUTOMATIC

A traditional craft, guilloche calls on both artistic and technical skills, particularly mechanical ones.

The applications are numerous owing to both the diversity of materials (that are no longer limited to precious metals) and the wide range of decorated objects that lend themselves to guilloche. The sky is the limit!
